Terms
The terms, in plain English.
How your private address works, what you allow us to do for you, and what we will never do.
Draft for the prototype. These terms will change before launch and are not legal advice. Nothing here is a binding agreement yet.
1. What Digesit is
Digesit is a reading service. You choose newsletters, they are delivered to a private address we give you, and we send you one summarised digest on your schedule. Every summary links back to the original issue.
This website is a prototype for demonstration. Newsletters shown are real, but digests, inbox reports and audio are examples.
2. Your private address
Each account gets one private Digesit address. Only issues sent to your address are used for your digest, and your address is never shared with or used for another reader.
You can see, change or close your address at any time. Closing it stops all deliveries to it.
3. Subscribing and unsubscribing for you
When you add a newsletter, you ask us to act for you. You give us permission to:
- sign your private address up to that newsletter using the publisher's own sign-up;
- complete the publisher's confirmation step, but only after you tap Confirm;
- unsubscribe your private address, or your original address if you chose Switch during an import, when you ask us to.
We keep a record of each instruction you give, so you and the publisher can see what was done and when. You remain the subscriber throughout, and you can reverse any of it.
4. Personal use only
Your digest is for you. Issues you receive are summarised for your account alone and are never used to make another reader's digest. Please do not forward digests in bulk or republish them.
We do not use newsletter content to train AI models.
5. Paid newsletters
Paid subscriptions stay with your own account and email. If you add one, you forward copies to your private address and we summarise them for you. We never buy, share or move a paid subscription, and you remain bound by the publisher's own terms.
6. Summaries and the original
Summaries are short, written by AI, and may contain mistakes. They are a guide to what is worth reading, not a replacement for it. Every item links to the full issue, and the writing belongs to its publisher.
7. Audio digests
On the Audio plan, your digest can be read aloud by an AI voice. Audio is always labelled as AI-narrated, summarises rather than reads issues in full, and never imitates a writer's or presenter's voice.
8. Publishers and opt-out
Newsletter names and marks belong to their publishers. Any publisher can ask us to stop summarising their newsletter, and we will. Featured placements are paid for and always labelled as Featured. See For publishers.
9. Plans and pricing
Free, Pro and Audio plans and their prices are proposals for testing. Nothing is charged in this prototype. Final prices, billing and cancellation terms will be set out before launch.
10. Changes to these terms
These are draft terms and will change. When the service launches, we will publish final terms and tell you about any significant changes before they take effect.
